Nationalsozialistische Monatsheft (National Socialist Monthly)Herausgeber (Editor) Alfred Rosenberg

Alfred Rosenberg (born January 12, 1893 in Rewel, died October 16, 1946 in Nuremberg), – Nazi criminal, one of the most influential Nazis, creator of the most important racist theories of National Socialism and Reich Minister for the Occupied Eastern Territories . He was a member of the secret Thule Society. He is considered to be the creator of such ideological assumptions of the NSDAP as extreme anti-Semitism, the belief in the superiority of the Aryan race, the theory of Lebensraum (the living space for the German nation in the eastern areas) or the attempt to overthrow the Treaty of Versailles.

After the outbreak of World War II, Rosenberg was restored to favor and in 1940 he headed the so-called Hohe Schule (it was the National Socialist Center for Ideological and Educational Research). Then he created the "Special Operational Staff for Music" (the so-called Sonderstab Musik), which collected the highest quality instruments and scores for use by the university. The university was to be built in Linz, Austria. In practice, it consisted in the plunder of the property of citizens of the countries occupied by Germany. Another operational staff, named after him Einsatzstab Rosenberg, was engaged in the robbery of works of art. By 1941, he had stolen 21,903 works, including famous paintings and museum pieces. In December 1941, Rosenberg headed the so-called "Furniture operation" (Aktion M), during which almost 70,000 Jewish houses in Western Europe were robbed of their furniture.

After the Third Reich aggression against the USSR in June 1941, Rosenberg was appointed by Hitler to the post of Reich Minister for the Occupied Eastern Territories.

Rosenberg was captured by the Allies after the end of the war. Along with other major Nazi criminals, he stood before the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg and was charged with committing crimes against peace, war crimes and against humanity. He was found guilty on all counts. Alfred Rosenberg was sentenced to death on October 1, 1946 for participation in the planning of the invasion of Norway and the USSR, the plunder of property and destruction of the property and culture of the conquered states, and, above all, for the monstrous crimes committed against the people of the USSR. The sentence was carried out by hanging on October 16, 1946 in the Nuremberg prison. Rosenberg, the only convict, when asked if he wanted to make a statement before his death, refused.
