Gefreaiter W. Kubler, 3 Schwadron, R.R. 10, konigsjager zu Pferde Nr. 1 1936 (Corporal W. Kubler, 3 Squadron, R.R. 10, royal huntsman on horseback No. 1 1936)

Visor caps were a standard item for all personnel during the Third Reich period and regulations dictated the form of dress they were to be worn with based on the individuals rank. Originally the insignia worn on the visor caps consisted of the Weimar Reichswehr pattern oak-leaf wreath and cockade and a blackened leather chinstrap for all ranks.

The different branches of service within the army were allocated a particular identifying waffenfarbe, (Branch of Service Color), with yelow being chosen for Army Cavalry personnel which was displayed as piping on the visor cap .

Picture framed in a contemporary frame. The cap is the same cap in the photo.

Nice quality, private purchase, visor cap with a field-green wool body and crown and a dark/green badge cloth centerband with yelow wool waffenfarbe to crown edge and the top and bottom edges of the centerband. The front center of the centerband has a nice quality, hand embroidered, oak-leaf wreath in silver-gold/aluminum threads encompassing.

Both the eagle and wreathed cockade are neatly handstitched to the cap. The cap has a black vulcanfibre visor which has a raised lip near the forward edge. The interior of the cap is fully lined in gold rayon.

Nice complete original leather sweatband, marked with two abbreviations of the name and surname
(W K)

The interior crown lining has a clear celluloid sweat diamond (
Beste Qualitat).

The Cap is rough a size 56/57.

Visible traces of the presence of moles.
