Russian War Propaganda Leaflet About the League of German Officers – High Ranked POWs in Russian captivity. Entitled "Cease the fighting! Join the side of the National Committee for a Free Germany!". This leaflet explains the origin and aim of the BDO so that other officers surrender and join the Soviet anti-Nazi propaganda organisation formed by German officers. On the reverse the famous German General Walther von Seydlitz.The League of German Officers ( BDO ) was formed on 11./12 September 1943 by 95 German officers in the Lunjowo prison camp near Moscow. Shortly after it was founded, the federation was merged with the National Committee for a Free Germany.
