Lot 1150:
Italian pith helmets were reissued to the 3 branches of the Wehrmacht (Heer, LW and KM), as well as to the WSS. This example is a Second Pattern M1928 (1st pattern Italian M1928 have a green lining while 2nd pattern versions are the same sand colour inside and out). In extremely good condition, it appears the patch under the tricolor shield was applied in the factory. Marked size 56 on the inside.
