Lot 1497:
Original bronze bust of Hitler by German sculptor Erich Hoffmann. The bust is large, about 1.5x life size and the first weve encountered by Erich Hoffmann. About 17 inches in total. The base hardware has been replaced and possible the base itself. He was born in 1910 and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He served in the German Wehrmacht during the war and was serious wounded but survived his injuries. After the war he returned to Munich and worked as a freelance sculptor until he passed away in 1967.
