We offer for sale this very interesting set of the owner of a cargo steamer ship from Altona, Hamburg, called John Rehder.This overwhelming set includes the following documents of John Rehder:-WW1 period Soldbuch.-WW1 period Militarpass.-III Reich period Wehrpass as reservist with very few entries.-Führerschein or driving license of III Reich period a bit damaged and made in canvas.-Deutsche Reichskriegerbund membership identification booklet.-Reisepass or passport, damaged but complete.-NSDAP membership booklet issued in 1936 ( very good condition but missing cover ).-Membership card of the German and Austrian alpine club.-Statutes of the harbor club of Altona.-Ausweis of the war veteran association Kyffhauser.-Visiting card of a managing director from London.-German citizenship certificate.-Weapon using license.-Medal award documents for: Ehrenkreuz für Frontkampfer of the WW1, postwar Verdienstkreuz 1. class, KVK2 WW2.This two photos with ship we just show not including on this auction.And many other administrative and less important documents issued in Altona and Hamburg during the III Reich period.All is in really good condition.Information about the cargo steamer:Cargo steamer "SASSNITZ" / "JOHN REHDER"QLGD / DCRN – 667 GRT / 870 tdw – 55.32 x 9.06 x 3.60 / 4.22 m – A triple expansion machine with 500 PSI, built by the shipyard in operation Osterholz, 9.5 kn.November 1920 launched. In December 1920 by J. Frerichs & Co AG, Einswarden with the hull number 356 as "IVO" to the Hamburg – Bremer Afrika Linie AG, Bremen. 12.12. / 17.12. 1921 to H.P. Vith, Flensburg. 23.1. Renamed "ANDREA VITH" in 1922. 25.03.1924 to the Stettiner steamer Co. AG, Szczecin. Renamed "SASSNITZ" in March 1924. 21.12.1925 to Carsten Rehder, Altona. 07.07.1927 renamed "JOHN REHDER". 18.10.1937 Hamburg Altona became new home port. 15.2. 1940 to the Kriegsmarine as relief, salvage and abode ship "POLYP". 17.07.1940 sold to this. Confiscated by the British after the war but returned to Rehder. 10.03.1949 again "JOHN REHDER" for Carsten Rehder. 18.2.1955 to Walther Ritscher, Hamburg, for demolition.The pictured SS "JOHN REHDER" looked a bit different in earlier years. She still had a straight stem. The following photo shows the ship in Norwegian waters sometime between August 1935 and November 1936. Because the father of Peter Nauschutt drove as a sailor and sailor on the "JOHN REHDER". During this time, the home port was changed.
