Lot 1252:
Huge set of the German-French assistant, film scriptwriter called Eva Richter who worked in the film industry of the Third Reich! It turned out that she was Jewish (which is recorded on two documents after the war) never arrested , but her mother Mete Richter to the fact considered “Mischlinge” 1st grade due was Jewish and therefore she was sent to KL Theresienstadt for 2.5 years as a 1st degree Jew!!!. Germans used such a hierarchy of origins according to Nuremberg Racial Laws: 100% Jews, 50% and 25%. She and her mother survived the war and they lived together in Prague for a short time. Then they probably returned to Berlin. The set is very big and complete, there are several hundred photos from various films (many of them dedicated by period actors), letters probably from prison or camp, telegrams, correspondence, work documents, notebooks…Probably the most important piece, let’s say the centerpiece of this set, is the long coat used by Mete Richter in his concentration camp period in KL Theresienstadt model Ghetto. Coat is manufactured using the legit striped fabric. It has the red triangle or patch for political prisoners and the Kennzeichen or camp number patch written with the number “17449”. It has some holes and period repairs but it’s complete and in very good worn condition. The set also includes her camp clogs or sandals made from wooden soles and leather.This is a set that requires a bit of work and translation of a lot of documents, but it is nevertheless very interesting and unique.
