Reichsparteitag 1940 Table Medal Prototype by Deschler. STRUCK IN ANTICIPATION OF AN EVENT THAT NEVER TOOK PLACE BECAUSE OF THE WARPrototype 1940 Reichsparteitag Medal. This event as well as the 1939 rally have never taken place due to the outbreak of the Second World War. The 1939 and 1940 Reichsparteitag table medals were designed and struck in anticipation of the event(s) and were put into storage in the Deschler factory in München (Munich) where they were forgotten about for decades. The design is by Richard Klein and his initials RK are under the left wing of the eagle. The material is Tombak. When they were discovered several years ago, they were sold to a few select dealers inside of Germany. Very few samples were struck, and this piece is extremely rare. 3-1/4 inches in diameter.
