Besamim – a Jewish liturgical vessel used to store fragrant herbs, especially cloves, ginger, nutmeg, allspice with myrtle or rose petals.It is used during the hawdala – the closing prayer of the Sabbath. Besamim were built in various shapes, but the most common were turreted balsamines, with a shape reminiscent of a fortress – the Fortress, which is a biblical symbol of God.This besamim is 25 cm high. It is made of white metal. Halfway up, there is an opening door that allows access to the chamber inside. There is an inscription on the flag: TO MISS M. SEGAL FROM GRANDMA SEGAL AS A FUTURE WEDDING PRESENT. One ring is missing. Shipping from our office in Europe
