Besamim – a Jewish liturgical vessel used to store fragrant herbs, especially cloves, ginger, nutmeg, allspice with myrtle or rose petals.It is used during the hawdala – the closing prayer of the Sabbath. besamim were built in various shapes, but the most common were turreted besamim, with a shape reminiscent of a fortress – the Fortress, which is a biblical symbol of God. Jewish liturgical container for spices.Made in the form of a windmill, made of silver. No signatures. Height 28 cm. Complete, no damage. The roof of the windmill opens.
