Stefaniszyn Jozefa (camp number 7262)was born on February 20, 1911 in Lviv, a teacher. In 1933, she graduated from the Teachers’ College in Stary SÄ…cz. Unemployed until the outbreak of World War II. She tutored students, taught part-time at courses organized for illiterate soldiers. She worked a lot socially. She was professionally involved in sports. She belonged to ZHP from primary school. She participated in rallies, camps, etc. As a scout, she was on duty in day-care centers for poor children, and participated in many other campaigns for poor youth. After the German invasion of Poland, she started underground activities. She was sworn in in November 1940 as a courier-liaison officer, operating from Wysowa-KroÅ›cienko-Szczawnica-Muszyna, Krynica-Piwniczna to Å»egiestow. Arrested on March 25, 1941 in Nowy SÄ…cz, imprisoned in Tarnow, and on September 12, 1941, she was transported to the concentration camp in Ravensbruck. Member of the underground "Walls" team.
