Deutsches Feld-Ehrenzeichen – German Badge of Honor of Veterans
Unofficial veteran decoration, created by Deutsches Feld-Ehrenzeichen Verein Hamburg, issued in years 1920-1933.
Non-official state award. This badge had to be obtained and paid for by the wearer himself.
Published by the German Field Honor Sign Association. After submitting the military papers, the badge could be applied for in the various warrior associations. A prerequisite for the purchase was active participation in the war.
Eight-pointed oval plug-in cross with applied cross, riveted on the back, with medallion and crossed swords.
Front:
Applied, white enameled cross, in the middle an applied medallion surrounded by a pearl ring.
The ring of pearls is interrupted by the arms of the cross, through the middle under the cross 2 crossed swords.
On the medallion a soldier with steel helmet and field pack marching to the left
Back:
Vertical pin, stamped in the middle between 2 rivets –
