German WWII Militaria & Propaganda
Lot 531:
Really Interesting Set of Documents to a German Jewish Woman With Passport Issued in New York Consulate in 1938. Passport is the one issued for Jews with a red ink printed "J" for "Jude" and the photo of the woman called Meta Kaufmann. It has some ink stamps of the German Consulate in New York. It seems this woman left Germany during the III Reich due to the persecution of the Jewish population and saved her life. Probably her passport was renovated there or issued after she lost it. Set also comprises: 2 vaccination certificates, an ID card to the daughter of the owner of the passport, of the German association of mountain hostels, and some Mark banknotes.
