Nice group of 35 Winterhilfserk Donation Pins, all with working pinbacks (if they have pinbacks).The Winterhilfserk was a NSDAP party-sponsored organization charged with raising funds for winter relief supplies for soldiers on the front lines. Much like our Salvation Army Bell Ringers, people stood outside of stores and on corners collecting money. In exchange you would receive one of these pins, there were dozens of different series and many people tried to collect all of one series, like how people in the US collected series of Beanie Babies that McDonald’s sold.
