Lot 351:
Third Reich Bronze Eagle with Nazi Banner by Prof OTTO POERTZEL. The bronze eagle by PROFESSOR OTTO POERTZEL (1876-1963) has a wingspan of 24 inches and weighs 40 pounds in total. It comes with a small banner on a string which hangs from the mouth of the eagle. Highly decorative and rare bronze statue on its original marble base. PROFESSOR OTTO POERTZEL was a German artist that did many reliefs of Adolf Hitler and for the NSDAP. The bronze is a 2 part casting due to the heavy weight, held together at the narrow part of the talons and secured on the interior by bolts. The piece was originally put together this way, it’s not a repair. Excellent display piece.
