Lot 903:
Bernard Montgomery or "Monty" doll made porcelain and cloth. We believe these were made and sold in Belgium in 1944 after British forces liberated Brussels in the first days of September. Montgomery was in command of all Allied ground forces during the Battle of Normandy (Operation Overlord), from D-Day on 6 June 1944 until 1 September 1944.
