Her passbook, kept for an account she maintained in trust for her brother, Sven Gustaffson at The Roosevelt Savings Bank (Brooklyn), five leaves + covers, 3.5; x 4.5;, kept between July 12, 1951 and April 11, 1960. Offered together with a 8.5; × 3.5; receipt noting the deposit of the same funds ($6,393.18) into her account with The Chase Manhattan Bank on April 12, 1960. Light marginal wear, cancellation punches, else very fine condition overall.
According to her grand-niece, Garbo, who had experienced the bank failures of the Great Depression, kept her funds in a wide variety of bank
accOunts.
