Martin Bormann (1900 to 1945). Head of the Nazi Party Chancellery, private secretary to Adolf Hitler and a war criminal. After the war, he was convicted and sentenced to death-in-absentia for crimes against humanity. Bormann probably committed suicide in Berlin on 2 May 1945. His body was buried nearby on 8 May 1945, but was not found and confirmed as Bormann’s until 1973. Martin Bormann table service dinner spoon, possibly from his Obersalzberg residence, in Berchtesgaden, next to the Berghof. Outlined border of handle with engraved block letters “MB” on front. Marked on rear “SCHWABENLAND”, “Gowe” (in script), “90” and “45”. Approx. 21cm long. Shipping from our office in Europe.
