Heinrich Himmler (1900 to 1945).Reichsfuhrer of the Schutzstaffel (SS), a leading member of the Nazi Party of Germany, and one of the most powerful men in Nazi Germany, primarily known for being a main architect of the Holocaust. Detained by British forces at the end of the War. While in British custody, he died by cyanide suicide on 23 May 1945. Fish knife from the formal Himmler silverware pattern, with the Himmler monogram "HH". From the Himmler family / summer house “Lindenfycht” in Gmund on Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria. Taken from the house at the end of the War. Made by Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF), one of the most prestigious makers of silverware of the Third Reich. Approx. 21cm long.
