Each saddlebag breast pocket has a double snap button closure to their angled flaps which mate with one of two sets of two studs to their pleated fronts.
Identical, although larger, pockets are to each hip. The breast pocket also each have an opening to the top of their flaps which allows a pen or pencil to be slipped inside a narrow secondary pocket sewn to the interior. Integral shoulder straps are snap buttoned near its lay-down collar.
Double snaps are to each of its cuffs.
Four ventilation holes are under each armpit.
Pleats run from the shoulders to the waistband to the center and either side of the back.
Three vertical belt loops along the waistband accept a matching material belt that is permanently affixed.
One end of which is sewn around a square metal buckle.
Insignia on the tunic is an : 101th Airborne Sleeve Badge.
Organized in November of 1918 at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, the 101st Infantry used the screaming eagle in design of their badge, which was approved in 1923. They began WW II as an infantry division but with the creation of the airborne they were reorganized as the 101st Airborne Division.
Machine embroidered, shield shaped badge showing a white bald eagles head with a gold beak and red tongue on a black background. An arch shaped "Airborne" badge is attached at the corners.
Above the left pocket: U.S. Qualifies Army Parachutist Badge.
U.S. Paratrooper wings. Winged parachute, measures approximately 4cm x 2cm. Complete with original hinge, pin and catch assembly. Marked "
